Christmas Gift Sponsorship
Since 2014, we've proudly coordinated our Christmas Gift Sponsorship Program to ensure that children in School District 303 receive meaningful gifts handpicked from personalized wish lists created by their families.
What sets our program apart is the unique opportunity it offers sponsors to connect personally with the child they're supporting. Each sponsor receives a wish list that reflects the child's specific needs and desires, curated with care by their parents or guardians.
These wish lists often feature a combination of toys to bring joy and essential items such as clothing, coats, and shoes. This thoughtful approach ensures that the gifts not only brighten the holiday season but also address important practical needs, providing comfort and relief to families.
What can you expect when you help Santa brighten the holidays for a D303 child in need this year?
- Sign up before October 5th.
- You’ll receive your wish list(s) October 22nd/23rd.
- We ask that you purchase at least 5 items (but no more than 10) from each child’s wish list. Please plan to spend a minimum of $75 per child.
- Drop off to items at Big Hearts in St. Charles in mid November. Exact dates & times will be emailed to you.

About Our Christmas Sponsorship Program

Every child is referred through D303 social workers, every list is personalized, and every sponsor is directly connected to the impact they’re making. It’s structured, dignified, and community-centered — designed not just to create a joyful morning, but to provide support that lasts well beyond the holidays.

We work closely with St. Charles School District 303 social workers to identify and support families experiencing financial hardship. Because they know their students and families best, referrals come directly through the schools — ensuring assistance reaches those who truly need it while protecting privacy and dignity.
Beyond Christmas Morning
Our Christmas Sponsorship Program goes beyond toys. Each child’s wish list includes a mix of fun gifts and essential items like clothing, and shoes — so families experience both joy and real relief. We’re not just creating a magical morning; we’re meeting practical needs that last long after the holiday lights come down.
Wish Lists, Their Way
What makes our program truly unique is that families fill out their own wish lists. Parents share what their children actually want and what they truly need — from favorite characters and hobbies to specific clothing sizes and essentials. This ensures gifts are personal, practical, and meaningful, not random or generic.
Ways You Can Help
If you’re looking for other ways to help, we’re always low on items for teenagers during the holidays. Unfortunately, these older kids often get overlooked.
Any contributions, whether it’s through donations or gifts, would make a huge difference and help ensure that every child in our community feels special this holiday season. Your generosity can help brighten the day of a teenager who may otherwise go without.
